Weekly Records? - December 03, 2009

Would you like a weekly records section added in addition to Todays's Records and All Time Records?

If so, where would you put it? Would it go underneath alltime, or would it replace it? My current thinking is a button which switches the alltime -> weekly then back again so each user can decide themselves, but would that be too confusing?

Name Change Update - October 02, 2009

The site is currently experiencing a large number of problems and errors due to people changing their display names on runescape.com. These errors are preventing the site from working correctly so I have to do something about them.

Please inform me if you have changed your username so I can alter it in the database, otherwise in a few days I will be removing all the users which are still invalid from the website. (This removal is PERMENANT and cannot be undone.) So please tell your friends, and let me know as soon as possible. Thanks!

New Development! - June 10, 2009

The time has come for new development on the website, I will be switching the site to the NEW DESIGN, alongside adding new features, and long awaited features such as detecting when users get unbanned, or when the Runescape highscores have broken.

Opinions Needed - May 10, 2009

In three weeks my exams finish, and I am able to resume work on updating Rstracking. But before I can do that, I need to know what you would like added or changed. (whether you want more games in the arcade, or a new tracking feature added to the site.)

IRC Bot Progress - January 15, 2009

In collaboration with Elessar we have created an IRC bot which you can use to find details from the site faster. The bot's name is Noobwegian. To find out what channels it is in type /whois Noobwegian in IRC or go to the channel #Idire #Rstracking. The Bot commands so far are:


!today [username]

!yday [username]

!records [skill]

!daily [skill]

Expect more commands soon


Please let me or Elessar know your opinions about the bot and its commands. Commands now work in PM too. If you wish to include Rstracking data in your bot, then you can access the raw data by going to the parser link at http://www.rstracking.com/parser.php

Login Cookies - October 05, 2008

The site has been updated to allow users to remain logged in for extended periods of time. To remain logged in check the box when logging into the site and you will remain logged in after leaving the site. This option is not recommended for shared or public computers.


I would like to know how long users would like to remain logged in, please comment on the messageboard, or vote in the poll on my forum.

Competitions! - September 24th 2008 - September 24, 2008

The long awaited competitons page has been created! This page will allow exp competitions to be tracked automatically using the site. This was a highly requested feature, and could be used for skill wars that many clans have. To start a competition:

• Go to Competitions


• Enter a name and click Create


• Choose Options and click Create again


• Go back to Competitions


• Add users to the competition


• Start the competition!

This page has been in development for a week now, and is extremely complicated so I would appreciate it being tested by a few people and bugs reported back to me!

Global Today and Global Yesterday - September 13, 2008

Global Today has been updated, you can now see for each skill who has trained it today, this is in sorted in highest exp first, so it is easy to find how you are doing compared to the others.


Global Yesterday has also been added, it has the same features as Global Today but uses the data recorded yesterday. This page can be useful for finding out how you did yesterday compared to other users of the site.

Track X - August 16, 2008

This page allows you to track your progress from any date until any other date! (since you registered) Simply visit My Track X and choose one of the predefined tracking lengths or choose your own. This feature is currently in BETA so please report any bugs you find in it, this includes visible code, and any errors.



Future Updates to this will allow you to view tracking data from anyone via "Global Track X"


UPDATE: Global Track X is partially functional!

Exp / Hour System! - August 05, 2008

This page will allow you to time the exp rate your gaining in runescape. To use the feature simply go to this page and choose a skill to track. Then come back to the site when finished and click end. The page will tell you the exp you gained during the time, the exp per hour rate and the time until you reach your next level.

Donation - July 19, 2008

Added a donations button to the site, feel free to completely ignore it, thats fine! The only reason i've added it was I found some hidden fees that I have to pay when paying my hosting provider every month. And with adrevenue being almost zero this could cause financial problems for me. So if you wish to help out with the website server costs thanks very much, if you don't please do continue to use the website as normal.

In other news, expect progress on the site next week, i'm working on a way to implement the competitions section, if you have any ideas please post them on the forum.

A forum has been added to the site, its primary purpose is discussing the site, submitting bug reports and feature requests but you can also do things like embed youtube videos and post achievements.

Record Update - July 14, 2008

After alot of work the website will now track your five highest exp records in each skill. These can be viewed on the myrecords page. The greatest advantage of this improvement is to allow you to compete with your own records! Following this update a global records page will be created, displaying the highest exp gains in each skill by everyone. Expect to see this page soon!

New Webhosting! - July 09, 2008

As of today the website will be hosted on a new server! This should help with all the problems I have had from developing the site on a free server. The new site should be faster and enable me to provide more features Access the new site at http://www.rstracking.com. As moving the site was quite a major job there might be a few problems with it to start off with. Please report bugs!

Compare Users! - July 09, 2008

You can now compare users registered to the website on the Compare Users page. This will display the differences in rank, exp and level in any skill between two users as well as any progress made by the users today. As always suggestions and bug fixes are welcome.

Highscore Expansion - July 03, 2008

You can now view the highscores for each skill by going to the highscore page and selecting the skill you wish to view. The highscore pages will display each users exp in that skill today. In other changes the rank shown on the highscore page will now be runescape rank.

Global Today - June 30, 2008

Progress on the website has resumed, You can now view the progress of other users on the site by clicking here or on the menu bar. The server overload problem has not yet been overcome, so work on improvements might be slow. As ever please report any bugs / suggestions.

Signup Closed - June 25, 2008

The website is having problems coping with the amount of users. I need to find a way to overcome this problem, as a result Registration to the site is now CLOSED.

There will not be any extra features until I get the updating and server overload problem sorted. I am also away for a few days and will resuming coding on monday morning

Personal Records - June 25, 2008

You can now view your highest exp recorded in a day in each skill. This is updated at the end of each day and also records the date you achieved the record. Visit this by clicking My Records on the menu or clicking here.

Google Adverts - June 24, 2008

I have been having trouble developing the site due to the fact it has to be hosted on a free web hosting server. You can help this problem by clicking on the adverts in the sidebars if you want one you like. Should enough money be generated by advertising the website will be moved onto a paid server.

All Time Rankings Added - June 24, 2008

The site will now keep record of the highest exp each user has done in one day, This leads to the introduction of the all time exp rankings. These are displayed under the today rankings and show the highest exp achieved in a day by any user. Future expansion will allow users to see their personal highscores in a skill.

Records Added! - June 23, 2008

The site will now track the record for exp in the current day, this is exp so far today since the stats update. People with the most exp will be displayed in the records section displayed on the right side of the page. The next step is tracking all time records :-)

"Yesterday" Tracking Added - June 23, 2008

You can now view the exp and levels gained yesterday by clicking My Yesterday on the menu bar, this will show you your progress gained between the two stat updates yesterday along with any rank changes.

You can now view your progress today by clicking My Today on the menu bar, this will show you your progress today since the highscore update overnight. As usual please let me know any bugs or problems you locate.

User Highscores Added - June 20, 2008

Idire.freehostia.com placed online. Added register and login pages. User content limited but highscores will be saved when you register at the site. Please register so testing can be carried out.
